What Do You Want to Know?

I don’t own an RV, but I knew my RV pad would finally come in handy.

I really don’t own an RV, but I understood my RV pad would ultimately arrive in helpful.

Ford has experienced something of a chokehold on the off-highway truck current market for a although now, but Chevrolet is ready to introduce a competitor. Enter the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2, the brand’s flagship off-roader that’s all set to rock and roll. I have the enjoyment of placing this poor boy by way of its paces this week — but in advance of I hit the road (or trail), what do you want to know?

What would make the ZR2 distinct than your standard Silverado — or distinct than the Path Boss Trim? Properly, factors get extra off-road-y with electronic locking differentials in both of those the entrance and rear, upgraded 50 %-shafts for the front axle, spectacular skid plates, and 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires. We’re also functioning with Multimatic spool-valve dampers, a 31.8-diploma technique angle, and lots of interior ease and comfort.

But if you want an severe off-roader, this is not it. You’re heading to get far more power from a Ram 1500 TRX and a tiny a lot more ability from a Ford F-15o Raptor, but the ZR2 stands out in its capability to impress equally on the asphalt and on the trail. And if you — like me — are just a standard Chevrolet supporter, then you ultimately have a quite damn capable off-street truck from the bow tie.

I have only experienced a likelihood to travel the ZR2 on true streets (even though the paved streets in my rural Texas town might as very well be a rutted path in some sites), but I have permission from Chevrolet to just take it out for some gentle off-roading this weekend. That suggests this is the perfect time to question you, the denizens of Jalopnik, what it is you want to know about this truck, so I know what to glance for when I get powering the wheel.
