Toyota Yaris best-seller in market up 26.8% – Best Selling Cars Blog

The Toyota Yaris is the most popular model in Cyprus in May.

Based on data by our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, new car sales in Cyprus return to positive in May at a splendid 26.8% year-on-year to 1,304 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 8.7% to 5,110. The three models on the podium all posts surreal year-on-year gains: the Toyota Yaris (+333.3%) takes the overall lead with 7.1% share and climbs to #2 year-to-date as a result. It distances the Kia Rio (+257.9%) and Picanto (+291.4%). There are three Kias in the Top 4, with the Stonic (+23.4%) jumping up from outside the April Top 20 directly to #4 but rather contained year-on-year. The Toyota C-HR (+43.6%) remains in 5th place while the Kia Sportage (+14.6%) is down two spots to #6 and the Hyundai Tucson (+28.2%) is down six to #7. The remainder of the Top 10 is euphoric: the Kia Ceed is up 258.3%, the Jeep Wrangler up 3700% and the Toyota Corolla up 190%. Finally the Mercedes GLA and Renault Clio enter the YTD Top 30.
