New cars have always been a way for companies to show off their automotive prowess. Some have spawned the most iconic cars globally, such as when BMW showed off the EfficientDynamics that would become the i8, but others have failed to materialize into production models, such as the Devel Sixteen.
Auto shows are an excellent way for these new cars to make their debut. Several manufacturers have given us upcoming cars that excite and delight in the past couple of years. Further, some new models have revealed that some companies have given in to fan demands and brought back some favorite models, albeit in new forms. From Acura to Toyota, these upcoming cars have us thoroughly excited for the future!

9 2024 Cadillac Celestiq
The biggest sign of changing times came when Fiat announced that Dodge would produce electric vehicles. GM subsequently decided that Cadillac will replace a petrol flagship in favor of the new Celestiq, an all-electric vehicle set to debut sometime in 2022 for release in the 2024 model year.
The Celestiq is further proof that electric vehicles are taking over as the primary type of vehicle. Joining the ranks of Tesla, the Cadillac Celestiq looks to offer a rival in luxury and quality for the EV market.

Whenever a new Corvette is being teased, the car world can’t help but stop and drool over what is on display. The Z06 is no different. We’re excited about this ultra-high-performance variant, boasting upwards of 670hp and engine sounds that are akin to a Ferrari.
Chevrolet is making some grand statements about its performance vehicle, but with the numbers, we’re seeing, the Corvette Z06 could shatter even the claims of sub-three second 0-60 and a ten-second quarter-mile. Better start saving now; estimates of starting prices are well north of $80,000.
7 2022 Ferrari Purosangue SUV
Ferrari is finally making the leap into the SUV territory like Lamborghini and Bentley. The Ferrari Purosangue is still being heavily camoed, but we’re excited to see what this high-performance SUV will look like compared to the likes of the Lamborghini Urus.
The Ferrari Purosangue could see a massive V12 engine in the flagship model. Plus, the Purosangue looks to seat four and include a rear infotainment system!
6 2022 GMC Hummer EV
Taking an aggressive step away from the gas-guzzling days of the H1, the GMC Hummer EV is looking to take on 1000hp from an all-electric platform. Will GMC be able to make the Hummer EV as popular as its predecessor? We certainly hope so.
Who would have thought that the Hummer nameplate would be on an electric vehicle, but with a 0-60 in three seconds and AWD, plus a whole host of luxury features, the Hummer EV will be well worth the transition. Be ready to shell out big money; base models start at almost $90,000.
5 2023 Hyundai RM20 N
Is it a Hyundai? Or is it a Genesis? As of right now, we don’t actually know. We’re hoping that it is a $40,000 Hyundai instead of an $80,000 Genesis, and with leaked body styling, the RM20 N looks promising as a Hyundai model!
Looking to hop into the mid-engine segment, the Korean car brand is teasing a prototype that could really knock your socks off! With a stated rating of 390 hp, this Hyundai will be a statement vehicle. Further, with the Elantra N, the Kona N, the Stinger, and the Veloster N, it looks like Hyundai is loading out their performance vehicle lineup!

Nissan has been dropping hints of a new Z model car for months now, and we’re super excited for the next generation!
Fans of the Nissan Zs are hoping that the teased next generation of Z will take on the title 400Z and feature an array of upgrades from power and handling to luxury. If Nissan wants to compete with the Supra, it will have to produce a truly special vehicle!
3 2022 Toyota GR Corolla
Toyota fans are upset about the GR Yaris’ exclusion from the American market, but Toyota hopes to make up for the loss by introducing a GR Corolla. Stated to have the same 258hp turbo three-cylinder the Yaris has, the GR Corolla looks to impress.
More impressive still, the Toyota GR Corolla looks to have a manual gearbox and a hatchback body style. Do we smell a rivalry with the Civic Si brewing?
2 2024 Toyota MR2
JDM die-hards wept when the MR2 went extinct in 2007. Ever since its demise, gearheads have outright begged Toyota to revive the classic sports car.
The teased aggressive sports car could serve as a revival to the famous Toyota MR2. The new MR2 would be extra fast with an electric drivetrain as instant torque would grace the rear wheels. With a promise of such a revival, we can’t help but be excited!
1 2023 Acura Integra
Many years have passed since Acura had nameplates for its vehicles, but one thing is getting us excited. The Integra is making a comeback! At least this time, it will be a hot hatch instead of a sporty sedan, yet it could be so much cooler than the first time around!
Looking to fit the same engine as the Civic Si, the new Acura Integra will look to fill the aging ILX spot. We couldn’t be more excited to see what the refreshed Integra will be like on the streets once again.
