We caught this lousy news just as we have been striving to wrap up the week. According to our close friends at the Corvette Action Heart, the Corvette Assembly Plant will go idle subsequent 7 days for a areas-relevant scarcity. The closure is predicted to last April 25-29th and the plant will resume functions on Monday, May possibly 2nd.&#13

The CAC provides this estimate from GM Spokesperson Dan Flores:&#13

Owing to a non permanent part constraint, Bowling Green Assembly will acquire downtime future 7 days (7 days of April 25) on both to start with and second shift. Our source chain, producing, and engineering teams are working closely with suppliers to mitigate even more impacts on output and we expect to resume operations the week of May perhaps 2.

With the Corvette Assembly Plant getting rid of a different week’s value of manufacturing, GM will have to increase an more week to the 2022 creation routine to make up all those dropped models, which then pushes back again the start off of the 2023 Corvette Stingrays to May 23rd.&#13

No phrase on which factors are getting shorted but no matter what it is, you can bet it has a microchip in it.&#13

If you are a Corvette assembly employee with very little to do future Thursday-Saturday, appear prevent by the NCM Bash and say hi there!&#13
